The EEOC has decided sex discrimination includes discrimination against trans and gender-nonconforming people! (Actually, the gender-nonconforming were protected already by Price Waterhouse v. Being fat probably saved my cat's life
You see, this is my cat:
She usually weighs about 20 pounds, and we barely feed her. She’s been like this for years. Every so often, the vet would get it in his head she had a thyroid problem, draw blood, and inform us when the results came back that she was, in fact, just plain fat.
This fall, we were distracted by our older cat getting sick and dying, and we didn’t notice that...
